  • The ignition coil operates according to the laws of induction. The unit consists of two magnetically coupled copper coils (primary and secondary windings). Energy is stored in the primary winding’s magnetic field by allowing a current to flow through the primary circuit switched by the power stage. At the firing point, the current flow is interrupted which induces secondary voltage in the coil’s secondary winding. The secondary circuit has a diode on the ground side.

  • The Electrical Throttle body system is designed to control spark-ignition engines. The ETB system is made of the components throttle body, accelerator pedal sensor and electronic control unit. The throttle body contains the actuator, the throttle plate and the throttle position sensor, which are integrated in one housing. The actuator consists of a DC engine with a two-stage gear. The throttle position sensor is designed redundantly. In case of an electrical disconnection the throttle plate falls back into an idle default position located above the lower mechanical stop.

  • The accelerator pedal module (APM) includes both electrical and mechanical functions. The electrical signal is generated by an integrated electronic sensor fitted with Compact-Plug. Two independent return springs, positioned between pedal and bearing part, create the return force. Type of springs and geometric data of the APM cause a force-hysteresis depending on pedal force.
