The primary functions are:
1. To operate in pressures up to 260 bar.
2. To operate in environments between –40°C and 120°C.
3. To allow fuel to flow when 12 VDC is applied to the solenoid coil.
4. To shut off fuel flow when the solenoid coil is deactivated.
5. To regulate the pressure down from tank pressure to a pressure that can be injected into the engine using a single stage.
6. To allow for pressure relief and venting via an integrated Pressure Relief Valve (PRV).
7. To flow enough gas in order supply the engine with the appropriate amount of fuel.
8. A fuel pressure sensor on the regulator indicates the available tank pressure.
